BESPOKE CLOTHING

Our bespoke service is for those who want more than standard sizing or off-the-rack solutions. We create custom pieces shaped around your body, movement, and personal style — whether that’s developing a piece from the ground up, or reworking one of our existing designs through fabric, proportion, or detail.

The process is relaxed and collaborative. We take the time to get it right. No pressure. No rush. Just considered design and careful making.

CUSTOMISATIONS

Most of our pieces can be customised. That might mean adjusting the fit, changing the length, resizing for taller or petite bodies, or switching fabrics and colours.

What We Can Make

There’s no fixed menu.

We work across trousers, cargos, jackets, hooded layers, tops, and experimental one offs — often drawing from our existing silhouettes as a starting point, but never limited by them.

If you’ve got references, sketches, or just a clear feeling of what you want to wear, that’s enough to begin.

The Bespoke Process

We know bespoke can feel intimidating.
We try to keep it simple.

Discovery
We start with a conversation, usually over video call. We’ll talk ideas, fit, how you want the piece to feel when worn, and where it sits in your wardrobe.
1
Design Direction & Quote
From there, we explore construction, fabrics, and feasibility. You’ll receive a clear quote and realistic timeline before anything moves forward.
2
Pattern Cutting
Patterns are drafted specifically for your measurements and design details.
3
Toile (First Sample)
A toile is created using calico or a similar structural fabric. This allows us to test fit, movement, proportions, and key design lines.
4
Fit & Refinement
The toile is sent to you to try on, along with some fabric swatches. One round of adjustments is included to refine fit and details.
5
Final Development
Once the toile is approved and materials are confirmed, we move into final production. You’ll receive updates throughout (images, videos, and progress checks), so you’re part of the process, not waiting in the dark.

Testimonials

This is the most I have ever spent on a garment of clothing. 1 pair and I’m hooked. Everyone from my girlfriend to my brother has asked me where I got them and if they can try them on lol.

Jak is an enigma… both an easy going friend you can message with ideas, and a consummate business man that offers excellence and perfection .

Good dude, great pants, immaculate vibes. Can’t wait for my next pair.

DIGITAL N.

Outstanding quality techwear pants made by Jak. I ended up having my pants customised with some extras and for my own personal wetware measurements, tall issues included, all executed perfectly. Ribbed calf parts in particular are worth getting extended if you're tall, especially if you also prefer a more "rigger" style look with a relatively long snug calf sleeve part like myself, or just like this to wrinkle up when deployed. Jak's easy going & very professional. I've been getting some of my gear (clothing and more) custom made for about 15 years now, this was one of the best of such encounters - definitely returning for more custom gear.

DECOMPLIANT

The Design I drew came to life and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Feels special and looks awesome as hell. Jak killed this project and gave this creation life. Thanks and best regards Jak!

FAQs

What's the difference between bespoke and customisations?

Customisations are adjustments to existing Rags by Jak designs.

This could include changes to fit or length, sizing for taller or petite bodies, or swapping fabrics and colours. Because we make most pieces in our UK studio, these tweaks are often straightforward and affordable.

Bespoke is a fully custom project.

This means starting from a blank page or heavily reworking a design to create a one off garment built entirely around you. Bespoke projects involve design development, pattern cutting, a toile fitting, and a more involved process from start to finish.

What's the cost for customisations?

Small changes to existing designs (like adjusting the length or taking in the waist) usually add £20-£30 on top of the product price.

For more elaborate customisations or different fabric and colour choices, the price will depend on the work and materials involved. Expect anything from £50 to £100.

If we already have the fabric in stock, some changes may cost less to nothing.

How much does a bespoke project cost?

Bespoke pricing depends on what you want to create and how far you want to push it.

For fully bespoke, one-of-a-kind pieces, prices typically range from £500 to £1,000+, depending on design complexity, fabric choice, pattern development, and fittings.

We’ll always talk this through upfront, no surprises. Just clear pricing for something made properly, just for you.

How long does a bespoke project take?

Timelines vary, but as a guide:

  • Customised existing pieces: usually 2-3 weeks
  • Fully bespoke designs: expect 2–4 months

This includes design development, pattern cutting, toile fittings, fabric sourcing, and final construction. Good work takes time and we’ll keep you updated throughout.

Can ready-to-wear pieces be customised?

Ready-to-wear pieces are produced in small batches, which allows us to keep pricing more accessible and dispatch times faster. Because of this, they’re sold as-is and aren’t customisable by default.

That said, if you love a ready-to-wear design and want it adapted specifically for you, we can recreate it as a made-to-order or bespoke piece. This allows us to adjust fit, length, fabrics, or details properly, and the pricing will reflect the additional work involved.

If that sounds like your route, just get in touch and we’ll talk it through.

How do I start a project?

Easy. Email us at contact@ragsbyjak.com with your idea — rough thoughts are absolutely fine.

We’ll get back to you to arrange an initial chat, usually a video call with Jak, where we talk through:

  • your idea, images or sketches you may have for inspiration
  • how you move and wear clothes
  • references, fabrics, and direction

From there, we’ll outline the process, timing, and pricing before anything begins.

Can I request specific fabrics or trims?

Yes, absolutely.

If you already have something in mind, we’ll explore sourcing it or suggest close alternatives if needed. If sourcing requires specialist materials or suppliers, this may affect cost and timeline, which we’ll always explain upfront.

Are bespoke pieces refundable?

Because bespoke pieces are made specifically for you with your measurements and your design, they’re non-refundable.

That’s also why we take care with samples, approvals, and communication at every stage, so you’re fully confident before the final garment is made.
